Maria Romani-Garcia has always felt a deep calling to serve her community and advocate for public health. Born in Peru and raised in the United States since the age of eight, Maria is a first-generation dedicated college student pursuing a degree in Public Health with aspirations to earn a Master’s in Healthcare Administration.
She brings her compassion, curiosity, and commitment to her work with SAILS. As an Administrative Assistant and Support Specialist, she is passionate about advancing compassionate care and supporting families experiencing stillbirth and infant loss. She strives to bridge the gap between public health advocacy and healthcare management, ensuring that every family’s experience is met with empathy, respect, and meaningful support.
Outside of work and academics, Maria enjoys going on long walks with her Havanese puppy and exploring new places around the world. Some of her favorite travel destinations include Spain and Japan, where she enjoys learning about diverse cultures and global approaches to health and wellness.
