The Pathways to Healing: Therapy Referral Program was created to ensure that no parent has to navigate the pain of stillbirth or infant loss alone. Through this program, Stillborn and Infant Loss Support (SAILS) connects bereaved mothers, fathers, and families to compassionate, culturally responsive, and grief-informed mental health professionals who understand the unique trauma of pregnancy and infant loss.
Grief after the loss of a baby is complex, layered, and often misunderstood. This program removes the barriers that many families face when seeking support by providing trusted referrals to licensed therapists, counselors, and wellness providers who specialize in perinatal loss, traumatic grief, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress.
This program also prioritizes equity and access to care, with a special focus on supporting Black families and communities disproportionately affected by pregnancy and infant loss. Whether you are newly grieving or years into your healing journey, Pathways to Healing offers a safe bridge to professional care designed to meet you where you are.
Through Pathways to Healing, families receive:
At SAILS, we believe healing is not about forgetting—it is about learning how to live, love, and breathe again while honoring your baby’s memory. The Pathways to Healing: Therapy Referral Program exists to walk beside you as you take your next step forward, at your own pace, with the support you deserve.
